Job Description
Reddit is seeking a Senior Data Science Manager to lead a team focused on enhancing the ads experience and optimizing marketplace health. This role involves working closely with Ads Marketplace Engineering & Product teams to develop and execute a data-driven roadmap. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for building data foundations and improving the data stack through internal and external tools. Reddit is a community-centric platform that offers a differentiated ads business opportunity.Reddit has a flexible first workforce and this role is remote-friendly or can be based in any office location - SF, LA, CHI, NY.Responsibilities:
  • Inspire, lead, and grow a team of data scientists.
  • Drive analytics/data science projects end-to-end.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends and insights.
  • Actively influence the design of the strategy and shaping of the roadmap.
  • Create and implement A/B testing and experimentation frameworks.
  • Continually develop & execute on a Data Science roadmap.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
  • Be an integral part of the Data Science Organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • PhD or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
  • 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Strong skills in programming (Python or R) and SQL.
  • Experience/interest in building data foundations.
  • Deep understanding of online experimentation and causal inference.
  • Comfortable in innovative and fast-paced environments.
  • Results-oriented with a strong customer and business focus.
  • Track-record driving product roadmap and execution.
  • Ability to provide structure and tackle ambiguous problems.
