Reddit is seeking a Machine Learning Manager to lead the Ads Engagement Modeling Team. This team focuses on building and maintaining machine learning models that predict and optimize user engagement with ads. The role involves setting the technical vision, leading model development, driving ML innovation, and managing a team of machine learning engineers. The ideal candidate will have deep machine learning expertise, a passion for building scalable systems, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Define the technical vision and long-term roadmap for engagement modeling.
• Oversee the full ML lifecycle, from data generation to model deployment.
• Design and implement state-of-the-art deep learning architectures.
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of talented machine learning engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers.
• Maintain high standards for ML performance, scalability, and robustness.

Requirements:

• Proven expertise in building ML models for ranking, recommendation, or engagement prediction at scale.
• Proficiency with mainstream ML libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Experience managing the full ML lifecycle in a production setting.
• Skilled in orchestrating large-scale data pipelines.
• Background or familiarity with engagement modeling in the ads domain is a strong plus.
• Experience managing high-performing ML teams.
• Deep hands-on experience working with machine learning models in large-scale production systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to develop and communicate a clear technical strategy.
