Reddit is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join its Ad Formats team. This role focuses on building new ad formats and enhancing existing ones within Reddit's Android application. The engineer will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to implement solutions for complex challenges, contributing to the full development cycle from design to deployment.
Responsibilities:
Build Ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit’s Android app that enhance our ads’ performance and functionality.
Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions for complex challenges.
Engage in the full development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy.
Requirements:
Expertise in Android engineering with at least 4 years of experience
Proficient in the Kotlin programming language
Strong software engineering fundamentals
A willingness to tackle the challenges of creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps within the constraints of a smartphone environment
An openness to explore innovative approaches to software development
Skilled at performing insightful code reviews, and receiving feedback themself
