Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Ads Measurement

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join its Ads Measurement team. This role is focused on enhancing the efficiency and user-friendliness of Reddit's advertising platform through privacy-enhancing technologies, identity resolution, and modeled conversions. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end Ads initiatives, drive architectural decisions, mentor peers, and tackle technical challenges.

The Senior Staff Machine Learning Engineer will work with a diverse group of engineers, product managers, data scientists, and ads specialists.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical strategy and architecture for the company’s identity resolution system.
• Develop and refine ML models for probabilistic user matching.
• Oversee end-to-end ML workflows, optimizing for performance and cost.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define the roadmap and set long-term goals.
• Establish engineering best practices and data governance guidelines.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in ML-driven systems.
• Experience architecting and building identity graphs or similar identity matching solutions.
• Strong knowledge of identifiers (cookies, hashed emails, etc.).
• Proficiency in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Solid understanding of large-scale data processing and distributed computing.
• Proven technical leadership in cross-functional settings.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
