Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join its Ads Formats team. This role is focused on enhancing existing ad formats, improving user experiences, and aligning with advertiser marketing goals. The Senior Staff Software Engineer will play a crucial role in expanding ad inventory, enabling ads on new placements, and optimizing the ad user experience.Reddit is a community-driven platform with over 100,000 active communities and 101M+ daily active unique visitors. The company embraces a flexible first workforce, allowing employees to work remotely from the United States or Canada, or from one of their physical office locations.Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities to enhance value for advertisers.
• Enhance infrastructure to accelerate format enhancements.
• Lead projects from concept to rollout.
• Bring in industry ideas to enhance the ad product portfolio.
• Collaborate with designers and product managers.
• Mentor staff engineers and leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Technical Leadership experience.
• 2+ years as Senior Staff or above.
• 5+ years in the Ads Domain.
• Experience shipping consumer-facing software (Ad Formats, Ad Reporting, Ad Manager, Ad Insights).
• Understanding of privacy landscape (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
• Adept communicator with experience updating executives.
