Reddit is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Ads Insights team. This role is remote within the United States and focused on shaping the future of Reddit's monetization strategy through AI-based intelligence tools. The engineer will play a key role in developing and scaling the data infrastructure and insights tools.
Reddit has a flexible workforce and the company is open for employees to come to the office. If that is not possible one can apply to work remotely from countries where Reddit has a physical presence
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of backend and data infrastructure.
Architect and implement scalable solutions for data growth and access.
Collaborate with other teams to consolidate insights about Reddit’s data.
Oversee data storage, retrieval, indexing, and query optimization strategies.
Work with engineers and internal/external users to build the right products.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers.
Proactively identify technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Technical leader in the execution of large scale projects from 0 to 1.
Experience with LLMs and generative AI.
Experience working with very large datasets.
Experience partnering with product managers and designers.
Experience solving complex system scaling and latency performance problems.
Excellent communication skills.
Extensive software development experience in languages like Python, Golang, Rust, Java, Javascript, etc.
