Job Description
Reddit is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for their GraphQL Team. This role focuses on solving large-scale API infrastructure challenges and developing the next generation of GraphQL architecture. The engineer will work with various teams across Reddit to build secure, scalable software and enable next-generation user experiences.Role involves:
  • Contributing to the team and organization’s long term technical strategy
  • Evolving Reddit's GraphQL user platform to enable efficient, performant API contributions.
  • Solving domain challenges like traffic shaping, service federation, and schema governance.
  • Expanding GraphQL's architecture to operate concurrently across global datacenters.
  • Collaborating with leadership to build and align long-term platform roadmaps.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
  • 10+ years of coding experience in a production setting.
  • Expertise in designing large-scale user-facing API platforms, especially with GraphQL.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Go, C++, or Java).
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
