Reddit is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for their GraphQL Team. This role focuses on solving large-scale API infrastructure challenges and developing the next generation of GraphQL architecture. The engineer will work with various teams across Reddit to build secure, scalable software and enable next-generation user experiences.Role involves:
Contributing to the team and organization’s long term technical strategy
Evolving Reddit's GraphQL user platform to enable efficient, performant API contributions.
Solving domain challenges like traffic shaping, service federation, and schema governance.
Expanding GraphQL's architecture to operate concurrently across global datacenters.
Collaborating with leadership to build and align long-term platform roadmaps.
Requirements:
5+ years of technical leadership experience.
10+ years of coding experience in a production setting.
Expertise in designing large-scale user-facing API platforms, especially with GraphQL.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration.
Experience with object-oriented programming languages (Go, C++, or Java).
