Job Description
Reddit is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer (Tech Lead) for the Publisher Experience team. The ideal candidate will lead the team in delivering high-quality products at a rapid pace. This role involves technical and product strategy and offers the opportunity to be part of a new product space within the Reddit Pro team. Reddit Pro empowers brands, organizations, and professionals to create engaging content and grow their presence on Reddit. The Staff Frontend Engineer shapes the team to move incredibly fast while delivering a great quality product.Responsibilities:
  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to the full development cycle, including design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Review code and design documents.
  • Giving feedback on product specs and mocks.
  • Contribute meaningfully to team strategy.
  • Participate with a team of thoughtful, fast-moving, and motivated engineers.
  • Contribute to standards that improve developer workflows.
  • Recommend best practices, and help mentor junior engineers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8+ years of full-time software development experience in front-end.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, ES6.
  • Experience with front-end web frameworks like LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Experience with CSS.
  • Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift basics, and the ability to design and implement maintainable APIs is a plus.
  • Experienced with distributed caching layers, and distributed large scale data storage systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent communication skills.
