Staff Frontend Engineer (Tech Lead), Publisher Experience

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer (Tech Lead) for its Reddit Pro team. This role involves leading the team to deliver high-quality products rapidly. The Staff Engineer will be deeply involved in technical and product strategy, enjoying a ground-floor opportunity in a new product space. The role is 100% remote and offered to candidates in the US or Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to execute product strategy.
• Contributing to the full development cycle, including design, development, testing, and launch.
• Reviewing code and design documents, providing feedback on product specifications.
• Contributing to team strategy and participating in future planning.
• Working with a team of motivated engineers to improve developer workflows and mentor junior engineers.
• Balancing speed and quality in building new products.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of software development experience in front-end languages like JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular, and CSS.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift basics, and API design.
• Experience with distributed caching layers and large-scale data storage systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent communication skills.
