Reddit is seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer (Tech Lead) for its Reddit Pro team. This role involves leading the team to deliver high-quality products rapidly. The Staff Engineer will be deeply involved in technical and product strategy, enjoying a ground-floor opportunity in a new product space. The role is 100% remote and offered to candidates in the US or Canada.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams to execute product strategy.
Contributing to the full development cycle, including design, development, testing, and launch.
Reviewing code and design documents, providing feedback on product specifications.
Contributing to team strategy and participating in future planning.
Working with a team of motivated engineers to improve developer workflows and mentor junior engineers.
Balancing speed and quality in building new products.
Requirements:
Minimum 8+ years of software development experience in front-end languages like JavaScript and TypeScript.
Experience with front-end web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular, and CSS.
Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, Thrift basics, and API design.
Experience with distributed caching layers and large-scale data storage systems.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent communication skills.
