Reddit is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their growing Data Science Team. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance user and revenue growth. The Senior Data Scientist will play a key role in shaping product strategy through measurement, experimentation, and data analysis. They will also be an industry technical leader, providing guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists. This position is remote-friendly within the US or based in one of Reddit's office locations.
Responsibilities:
Develop action-oriented insights to drive the product strategy
Uplevel experimentation practices on the team
Create new ETLs, tables, dashboards, and other self-serve tools
Design, evaluate, and/or measure team-level KPIs
Regularly engage with stakeholders to gather feedback
Mentor more junior data scientists and business partners
Requirements:
Relevant experiences in quantitative or data science roles
Ph.D., M.S. or Bachelors degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields
Expertise in querying relational databases (SQL) and programming languages (e.g., R / Python)
Deep understanding of online experimentation (A/B testing), causal inference, and statistical techniques
Comfortable in innovative and fast-paced environments, and a bias toward action
Strong technical communication / data storytelling skills
