Data Protection Analyst at Fortra

Fortra is seeking a Data Protection Analyst to nurture client relationships and guide them in understanding their data risk posture. The Data Protection Analyst will be responsible for regular meetings, data reviews, and business updates to ensure clients derive maximum value from Fortra's services.

What this role involves:

• Hosting weekly touchpoints to address concerns and provide updates.
• Conducting comprehensive quarterly business reviews.
• Performing spot-check data reviews.
• Engaging in discussions to improve data risk posture.
• Guiding clients in implementing prevention controls.
• Collaborating internally to convey client feedback.
• Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Addressing client issues promptly.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Familiarity with basic cybersecurity concepts.
• Basic understanding of data risk management and prevention controls.
• Proficiency in using SIEM tools.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection platforms.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team.
• Prior customer-facing experience in managed services or tech.
• Stellar interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Track record of building client relationships.
• Ability to collaborate across internal teams.
• Certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CySA+ are a plus.
