Associate General Counsel – eDiscovery

Job Description

Interactive Brokers is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel – eDiscovery to lead and manage the firm’s eDiscovery program. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background in litigation and investigations. He/She will manage eDiscovery vendors and outside counsel, and a demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams to drive compliance and operational excellence.Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all aspects of eDiscovery work across in-house legal team
• Manage Outside Counsel and eDiscovery vendors
• Coordinate with internal counsel to manage data collections
• Develop and oversee eDiscovery budgets
• Recommend and implement new technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the eDiscovery process
• Act as a liaison with Compliance, IT, Records & Information Management, and Information Security
• Partner with international legal teams to ensure adherence to global eDiscovery obligations
• Develop and implement legal records frameworks for risk management
• Lead initiatives to procure, implement, and maintain enterprise archiving solutions for e-communications, audio recordings, and other data sources
• Monitor industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes
