General Counsel at Mentimeter

Mentimeter is seeking a General Counsel to be the cornerstone of its legal framework, driving internal processes, compliance, governance, and strategic decision-making. The General Counsel will report directly to the CFO and lead a team of three legal counsels specializing in different areas. This role involves navigating the complexities of a public company while enabling scalability for Mentimeter's global ambitions.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing legal processes for a SaaS landscape, including internal reviews and external partnerships.
• Overseeing customer and vendor contracts.
• Leading corporate governance processes and ensuring compliance.
• Managing Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings.
• Ensuring compliance within product and services, addressing legal queries on features, user authentication, and data privacy.
• Owning internal control and risk management frameworks.
• Designing and managing cross-border incentive programs and cap tables.
• Handling shareholder relations and board documentation.
• Managing the legal side of share transactions and leading legal workstreams in projects related to raising capital.
• Safeguarding intellectual property.
• Working closely with the People & Culture department on employment law related matters.
• Developing scalable legal operations.

Requirements:

• Law degree with 10+ years of experience in corporate law.
• Experience working in a B2B SaaS company.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience leading a team in a high-growth or tech environment.
• High level of English proficiency.
