Sofar Ocean is seeking a Senior Account Executive to expand its global presence by driving sales of its Wayfinder Optimization Engine in the European market. This role involves working with a diverse portfolio of clients, identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals to drive business value and environmental impact. The ideal candidate will develop and execute a strategic sales plan, manage channel sales partners, and represent Sofar at industry events.
Responsibilities include: - Developing and executing a strategic sales plan for the European Market
- Building and maintaining relationships with high-level decision-makers, influencers, and partners
- Leading the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure
- Understanding client needs and positioning Wayfinder’s unique value proposition
- Collaborating with internal teams to align solutions with market demand and customer requirements.
- Providing market insights and feedback to inform product and go-to-market strategies
- Managing channel sales partners to develop business in new regions
- Representing Sofar at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities in the region
The ideal candidate should have: - 8+ years of experience in software sales, preferably in maritime, environmental tech, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the European market.
- Strong C-suite network in maritime shipping industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a sales pipeline.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to travel as needed.
