Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

Auctane is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Corporate FP&A team. This role supports the production of consolidated financial budgets and forecasts, performs variance analysis, analyzes and tracks KPIs, and conducts ad-hoc analysis to support the business. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with other team members to develop and implement a monthly forecast process, the annual budget process, and the preparation of executive management and board presentations.

The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the Austin, Texas office. The Auctane Finance team drives key strategic initiatives, generates insights into business performance, and leads financial decisions across the company. This role provides strategic and tactical support to facilitate management reporting, assist the budgeting/forecasting process, and communicate targets.

What this role involves:

• Developing consistent and accurate reporting and improving consolidated reporting processes
• Build and maintain financial models for budgeting and forecasting purposes
• Review and validate financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• Three to five years of work experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst or similar role, preferably in a corporate finance or investment banking environment
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
• Experience working with Google Suite, including Slides, Docs, and Sheets
• Self-motivated, mission-driven, team player, that embraces problem-solving and enthusiastic to learn and grow
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex financial ideas and analysis to non-finance stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels of the organization and drive actionable recommendations
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and identify innovative solutions to complex problems while exercising sound judgment in ambiguous situations
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in all work
• Experience working with large datasets and financial systems such as Anaplan
