The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will play a crucial role in securing Intercom's AWS environments and protecting its cloud infrastructure.

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging cloud-native security tools to enhance security posture.
  • Developing strategies, frameworks, automations, and processes for the Detection and Response program.
  • Creating Protective and Detective controls using intelligence sources.
  • Collaborating with product engineering teams to resolve security incidents.
  • Automating security controls and compliance checks.
  • Partnering with infrastructure teams to expand automation and infrastructure as code practices.

Requirements for the role include:

  • Experience in investigating advanced threats and detecting cloud-native attacker techniques.
  • Expertise in securing AWS environments and responding to security incidents.
  • Understanding of AWS security controls (IAM, VPC, firewalls, etc.).
  • Proficiency in a high-level programming language (e.g., Python, Ruby).
  • Experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
