Intercom is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join Team Web in Dublin. This role is crucial for shaping the future of Intercom's website, the centerpiece of its brand and a key lead generator.This role involves:
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining complex front-end solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Leading and contributing to front-end architecture decisions.
  • Implementing responsive, accessible UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React, Next.js, and Tailwind.
  • Optimizing website performance.
  • Mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates.
The ideal candidate should have:
  • 7+ years of experience in front-end development with expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Expertise in front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, Tailwind
  • Proficiency in CMS platforms (such as Contentful) and marketing tools (e.g., Google Tag Manager).
  • Experience in CI/CD tools (such as CircleCI).
  • Experience with A/B testing and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience in writing tests for front-end components.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
