Machine Learning Scientist at Intercom

Intercom is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist to join their team in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining new ML features, researching algorithms and technologies, and rapidly prototyping to get them in customers’ hands. Intercom is leading the market in AI customer service with Fin by Intercom and Helpdesk by Intercom.

The Machine Learning Scientist will work in partnership with Product and Design teams, collaborating with ML Product Engineers to move quickly from concept to production, often shipping to beta within weeks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about applying machine learning technology and testing and measuring the real customer impact of each deployed model.

What will this role involve:

• Identifying areas where ML can create value for customers
• Identifying the right ML framing of product problems
• Conducting exploratory data analysis and research
• Researching and identifying the right algorithms and tools
• Performing offline evaluation to gather evidence an algorithm will work
• Partnering deeply with the rest of team to build excellent ML products

Job Requirements:

• 1-3 years of ML experience
• Intermediate programming skills
• Solid theoretical foundation in stats and ML
• Scientific mindset
• Strong communication skills
