Intercom is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to join their team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining new ML features, researching appropriate algorithms and technologies, and rapidly prototyping solutions to benefit customers. They will work within the Machine Learning team and will collaborate with Product and Design teams with the help of ML product engineers.

Role involves:
  • Identifying where ML can create value for customers.
  • Identifying the right ML framing of product problems.
  • Conducting exploratory data analysis and research.
  • Researching and identifying the right algorithms and tools.
  • Performing offline evaluation to gather evidence an algorithm will work.
  • Working with engineers to bring prototypes to production.
  • Planning, measuring & socialize learnings to inform iteration.

Requirements:
  • Broad applied machine learning knowledge.
  • 3-5 years applied ML experience.
  • Practical stats knowledge.
  • Intermediate programming skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
  • Advanced education in ML or related field.
