Job Description

Auctane is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data Products team. This role will significantly impact the design, implementation, and maintenance of existing and greenfield customer-facing data products. The Data Engineer will work in a flat and open engineering culture where data & evidence beat opinion and hierarchy. Auctane fosters autonomous, cross-functional teams empowered to deliver the company's ambitious strategy.

What this role involves:

  • Contributing to the design, build, and operational management of data pipelines and analytics solutions on AWS.
  • Collaborating with the Product Owner and stakeholders to implement the Data Products strategy.
  • Developing frameworks and solutions for acquiring, processing, monitoring, and extracting value from datasets.
  • Driving the design and architecture of Auctane’s data product.
  • Advocating for data quality and observability principles.
  • Delivering reliable software and data pipelines using Software Engineering best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong Data Engineering background.
  • Experience working in AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience developing and supporting robust, automated, and reliable data pipelines in Python and SQL.
  • Excellent Python and SQL skills.
  • Experience with data processing frameworks like Spark, Trino (Athena), or Pandas.
  • Knowledge of Data Orchestration solution, preferably Airflow.
  • Knowledge of relational database design.
  • Polish and English are required for this role.
