Auctane is seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize core infrastructure and services. The DevOps Engineer will focus on cost control, security, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and scalability. The engineer will build and maintain cloud hygiene practices, provide visibility into infrastructure costs, and oversee SaaS product permissions, contracts, costs, and licenses.

What will this role involve:

  • Designing, building, and managing a scalable, secure, and available infrastructure.
  • Ensuring infrastructure platforms are secure and can scale to support growth.
  • Responding to new security threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Creating tools and automated workflows to enable software engineers.
  • Collaborating with software engineering teams.
  • Improving the platform by introducing new technologies.
  • Working with engineering teams on solution design, capacity planning, and performance.
  • Championing cloud native design and ensuring a cost-efficient cloud environment.
  • Providing out of hours support.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Information Security/Assurance, Internal Audit, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands on experience with AWS in a production environment.
  • Understanding of the pillars of Cloud Engineering.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration.
  • Linux and Windows skills; understanding of DevOps principles.
  • Scripting skills (Bash/Python preferred).
  • Experience with Terraform and configuration management tools.
  • Focused operational mindset and passion for observability.
  • Comfortable working with multiple teams.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and enjoys troubleshooting complex System Engineering problems.
  • Experience creating high available systems and scalable architectures.
  • Experience supporting network protocols.
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience in enterprise level storage and network technologies.
  • Striving for automation and efficiency.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency in Polish and English is required.
