Job Description
Opendoor is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to enhance the effectiveness of its IT and Business Process Control Environment. This role involves managing SOX 404 assessments and providing advice on key company initiatives. The ideal candidate will stay updated on company operations and the risk profile of technologies to ensure the relevancy of the SOX approach.

What This Role Involves:
  • Leading risk assessments of the company’s Business and IT system environment.
  • Planning and managing annual SOX assessments.
  • Leading Business Process and System framework documentation.
  • Identifying control improvements and opportunities for automation.
  • Leading control walkthroughs and developing test plans.
  • Evaluating control exceptions and recommending risk mitigation plans.
  • Communicating with system owners and senior management.
  • Coordinating with external auditors for annual SOX test plans.
  • Leading special projects related to risk and control advisory.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to business and technology partners.
  • Providing training and support to process and system owners.
  • Coaching and mentoring the internal audit team.
  • Managing outside consulting resources for internal audit/SOX activities.
  • Staying up to date on audit standards and technology trends.


Requirements:
  • Strong experience managing Business Process and IT SOX-internal audit programs.
  • Experience in integrated audits at public accounting firms (a plus).
  • Technical knowledge and risk assessment skills in Cloud Security, Engineering infrastructure, and financial applications.
  • Strong knowledge of the COSO internal controls framework, PCAOB audit standards, and IT governance framework (COBIT).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Detail-oriented and accustomed to project work with tight deadlines.
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CPA, CA, etc.).
  • Relevant knowledge of policies/procedures related to PCI, SOC 1/2, GDPR, FedRAMP, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 is beneficial.
