Via, a company focused on transforming transportation through technology, is seeking an R&D Team Lead. This role will be responsible for leading the development and evolution of Via's core routing engine. The R&D Team Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and refine algorithms, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of Backend engineers.
  • Work closely with Product & Algo teams to design and refine routing algorithms.
  • Develop, own, and execute the team's roadmap.
  • Oversee project objectives to enhance and support the overall product strategy.
  • Guide and mentor team members.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • 6+ years of experience with BE software development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong background in algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with routing, pathfinding, and optimization algorithms.
  • BSc. in Computer Science / Math or equivalent - Must
  • Experience with Go, React, AWS, Kubernetes - Advantage
  • M.Sc./PhD Computer Science / Mathematics / Physics or similar - advantage
