Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking an Associate Principal to join its European Competition practice in Brussels. The role involves providing economic analyses of mergers and other competition matters, working alongside respected scholars and experts.

Responsibilities include:
  • Working with academics and attorneys on finance, strategy, and economics issues.
  • Conducting research and developing client deliverables.
  • Conceptualizing and designing complex economic and financial models.
  • Overseeing analysis in statistical analysis programs.
  • Managing the research process and mentoring junior analysts.
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
  • Driving practice-building activities.


Requirements:
  • Good first degree in economics and a postgraduate degree.
  • Extensive and relevant experience (5-9 years), competition policy/economic consulting experience preferred.
  • Understanding of economic concepts, competition/regulatory authorities, and quantitative analysis methods.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in Dutch, French, and/or German desirable.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Extensive executive client presence and interaction skills.
