Consulting Associate (Europe Competition practice) at Charles River Associates

Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking a Consulting Associate to join their Europe Competition practice in Brussels. This role is ideal for candidates with a postgraduate qualification in economics and up to three years of experience. The Consulting Associate will work closely with senior staff on high-profile competition cases, providing conceptual input and helping shape the cases.

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying potential issues and conducting analyses to illustrate economic arguments.
• Assembling compelling evidence from data and research.
• Programming, building models, and performing regression analyses in statistical analysis programs.
• Assisting in the development and presentation of client deliverables.
• Interacting with clients and communicating complicated economic concepts.
• Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of analyses and opinions.
• Participating in practice-building activities.

Requirements:

• MSc/MPhil in economics from a well-regarded institution.
• Up to 3 years of professional experience, ideally in a consulting or competition policy environment.
• Fluency in English, with additional fluency in Dutch, French, or German desirable.
• High degree of numeracy and familiarity with econometric techniques.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated high level of initiative and leadership.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
