Charles River Associates (CRA) is seeking an intern to join its European Competition practice in Brussels. The internship mirrors the full-time analyst role, offering a comprehensive understanding of working as an economist at CRA. The ideal candidate will work closely with senior staff on diverse projects, contributing to various aspects of competition policy and regulation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analyses to illustrate economic arguments.
  • Assemble evidence from data and research.
  • Build models and perform regression analyses using statistical programs (Stata, Python, R).
  • Assist in developing client deliverables, including expert reports and white papers.
  • Communicate economic concepts to internal teams.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of analyses.

Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD/DPhil candidate in economics with a strong foundation in microeconomics.
  • Fluency in English; fluency in French and/or German is desirable.
  • High degree of numeracy and data manipulation skills.
  • Some research experience.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in consulting.
