The role involves:

  • Designing and managing data architectures.
  • Developing efficient ETL processes.
  • Implementing and managing data processing clusters.
  • Performing data analysis using SQL and Amazon Athena.
  • Configuring and administering secure network environments in AWS.
  • Executing serverless functions using AWS Lambda.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Staying updated on data processing and storage trends.

The requirements are:

  • Solid knowledge of Amazon Redshift, S3, EMR, AWS Glue, and Athena.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala.
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, HDFS, and MapReduce.
  • Experience in configuring networks (VPC, subnets, security groups) and using AWS Lambda.
  • Ability to interpret large volumes of data and generate insights.
  • AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate or similar (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous learning skills.
