DEPT® is seeking a Senior Ruby/Rails Engineer to contribute to the design, building, and maintenance of partner-facing solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be able to contribute to the growth and success of team members through code review, clear documentation, and mentorship. The role involves contributing to initiatives across the company to support the Partnerships program and accelerate the Partner integration experience through developer tooling, SDKs, and documentation.

Role involves:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining partner-facing solutions.
  • Contributing to the growth and success of team members.
  • Contributing to initiatives across the company to support the Partnerships program.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, partner engineering, sales engineering, or similar roles.
  • Experience designing and building API-driven applications and endpoints.
  • Strong design and architecture skills.
  • Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g., unit testing, code reviews, design documentation).
  • Experience with Ruby/Rails & React.
  • Experience with MySQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, and similar technologies
