Android Software Engineer at Interactive Brokers

Interactive Brokers is seeking an Android Software Engineer to enhance its mobile trading applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong Android programming skills and a passion for developing high-quality solutions. The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software solutions within a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement components in Java and Kotlin for Android.
• Follow specifications closely while providing constructive feedback for quality improvement.
• Utilize best practices and Android Studio to debug applications, fix performance bottlenecks, and improve client experience.
• Employ techniques and design patterns to create well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code.

Requirements:

• Strong Java Skills.
• Technically oriented, proactive, and enthusiastic, with extreme attention to detail.
• Bachelor's in EE, CS, Math, Physics or similar (masters/ a plus)
• English written/verbal communication skills.
• Mobile development experience and/or strong desire to master mobile development for Android.
• Comfortable working in a team, reviewing code, and providing guidance.
• Familiarity with trading technologies is a plus.
