LivePerson is seeking a motivated and collaborative Software Engineer Intern to join their team in Sofia, Bulgaria. The intern will work collaboratively in a cross-functional team to develop both prototypes and production-grade applications. He/She will design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.

The Software Engineer Intern will implement REST-based backend services, interactive web applications, and utilize public cloud technologies and databases. The intern will also debug production issues, help maintain existing code, develop technical specifications and documentation, and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Develop prototypes and production-grade applications
  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications
  • Implement REST-based backend services
  • Implement interactive web applications
  • Use public cloud technologies, databases - NoSQL DB's
  • Debug production issues and help maintain existing code
  • Development of technical specifications and documentation
  • Participate in on-call rotations

Requirements:

  • Studying Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with Java or JavaScript(Node.Js)
  • Experience with Data Structures and Algorithm Design
  • Familiar with any Databases like (SQL, NoSQL) like MySQL, Cassandra
  • Understanding REST APIs
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools
  • Advantage if you have knowledge or experience in developing Web applications, including native JavaScript, HTML, CSS
