Data Engineer at Interactive Brokers

Interactive Brokers, a global financial services company, is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Telemetry/Data/AI team in Budapest. The Data Engineer will be responsible for the entire data analysis lifecycle, from transforming raw data to creating insightful visualizations and reports. They will wrangle, cleanse, and transform large datasets to prepare them for AI consumption. The engineer will also develop and implement data pipelines to automate data ingestion, processing, and delivery for AI models. They will play a key role in developing and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports the Interactive Brokers' analytics efforts.

• Designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines
• Identifying valuable data sources and automating collection processes
• Preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
• Assisting with data labeling and tagging
• Analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
• Presenting information using data visualization techniques
• Proposing solutions and strategies to business challenges
• Collaborating with engineering and product development teams
• Performing feature engineering for AI applications

Requirements:

• BS/ MS /PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
• 5 + years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Experience in data mining
• Understanding of machine learning and operations research
• Knowledge of SQL and Python
• Experience using ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
• Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop)
• Analytical mind and business acumen
• Strong math skills (e.g., statistics, algebra)
