Software Engineer, macOS at Grammarly

Grammarly is seeking a macOS Software Engineer to join its Grammarly for Mac and Core Product teams. Grammarly is the world’s leading AI writing assistance company trusted by over 40 million people and 50,000 organizations.

The role involves end-to-end development of a product offering that helps deliver Grammarly’s sophisticated AI system to Mac users. The engineer will work with a team focused on bringing this AI system directly to users, innovating and influencing the product roadmap. This position is based in Berlin and follows a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the creation of a robust architecture
• Innovating to deliver features
• Building UX solutions with complex UI elements
• Ensuring product performance
• Developing shared components for Apple platforms
• Using Swift, AppKit, and CoreGraphics

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Swift, OOD, OOP, and multithreading (GCD)
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• Fluency in engineering best practices: code review, test coverage, and monitoring
• Excitement about finding solutions in uncertain situations
• Enjoys fast-paced delivery and feedback loops
• Experience developing desktop applications that work with Mac Internals (preferred but not required)
