Newsweek is seeking a Photo and Visual Editor to join their creative team. This role involves graphic design, photo editing, and photojournalism, leading the curation, creation, and management of visuals across their website and magazine.

The Photo and Visual Editor will:

• Select and curate images for digital and print.
• Manage a digital archive of images.
• Develop custom visuals, including photography, illustrations, and graphic designs.
• Edit and retouch photos.
• Conduct research and write compelling captions.
• Build and maintain relationships with stock agencies and freelance photographers.
• Lead the design and creation of infographics, maps, and charts.
• Collaborate with developers and designers to create interactive media experiences.
• Train staff on visual design tools like Canva.
• Incorporate AI into the visual creation process.

Newsweek requires candidates to have:

• Proven experience in graphic design, photo editing, and photojournalism.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom).
• Strong knowledge of Canva.
• A strong portfolio.
