Grafana Labs is seeking an EMEA-qualified Commercial Counsel based in the Netherlands to join their legal team. The role primarily involves supporting the EMEA-based sales team by negotiating B2B commercial agreements, and assisting with U.S. transactions when needed. The candidate will also support broader legal and cross-functional initiatives.Responsibilities include:
- Managing and negotiating B2B commercial agreements, including NDAs, SaaS agreements, security addendums, and DPAs.
- Advising on EMEA-specific laws related to B2B commercial agreements.
- Taking a practical and proactive approach to negotiating agreements.
- Collaborating on legal, regulatory, and corporate matters.
- Partnering with cross-functional business teams to resolve commercial and operational matters.
- Creating and improving form agreements and playbooks.
- Contributing to the development of workflows and processes.
- Creating and presenting training materials.
- EMEA-qualified lawyer in good standing.
- 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- 5+ years negotiating B2B SaaS and software license agreements.
- Experience with Data Protection Laws.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Ability to form strong relationships with internal clients.
- Experience with a high-volume caseload.
- Sound commercial acumen.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- English fluency required, and a second European language is preferred.
