Grafana Labs is looking for an EMEA-qualified Commercial Counsel to join their legal team. The Commercial Counsel will support Grafana Labs’ EMEA-based sales team by negotiating B2B commercial agreements, with assistance on U.S. transactions if needed. This role also involves broader legal and cross-functional initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess creative and analytical thinking skills, attention to detail, and a business-oriented approach, fostering trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and negotiate B2B commercial agreements (NDAs, SaaS, software agreements, DPAs).
- Advise on EMEA-specific laws related to B2B commercial agreements.
- Consult with outside counsel on complex deals.
- Take proactive approach to efficiently negotiate and finalize commercial agreements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on legal, regulatory, and corporate matters.
- Partner with internal teams to resolve commercial matters.
- Assist in improving form agreements and playbooks.
- Contribute to the development of workflows and processes.
- Create and present training materials on legal best practices.
Requirements:
- EMEA-qualified lawyer in good standing.
- 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- 5+ years negotiating B2B SaaS and software license agreements.
- Experience with Data Protection Laws.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- English fluency required.
