SecOps Engineer at Showpad

Showpad is seeking an L2 SecOps Engineer to enhance security in cloud-native environments and drive automation within security processes. This hybrid role, based in Bucharest, requires two days in the office. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the engineer will contribute to the security of Showpad's infrastructure, products, and operations. The role involves:

• Collaborating with teams to integrate security best practices.
• Supporting the implementation of CI/CD pipelines with security tooling.
• Managing the CNAPP solution.
• Monitoring security events and responding to vulnerabilities.
• Conducting vulnerability management activities.
• Contributing to security automation.
• Assisting in security posture management of cloud environments (e.g., AWS).
• Helping teams adopt Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) best practices.
• Participating in risk assessments.

Requirements include:

• Relevant experience in information security.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and securing microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with security tools for vulnerability management (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA).
• Scripting or development skills (e.g., Python, TypeScript).
• Understanding of incident response principles.
• Solid understanding of web application security principles.
• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Awareness of phishing and social engineering mitigation strategies.
• Strong English communication skills.
