Interactive Brokers is seeking a Software Support Engineer to join their team in Tallinn, Estonia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for addressing reported issues in the end-user-facing trading platform which uses Java Swing. They will translate technical requirements to application code, test and debug applications, and collaborate with QA staff. The Software Support Engineer should be a team player and also an organized individual who can meet deadlines.This role involves:
- Addressing externally and internally reported issues
- Translating technical requirements to application code
- Coding Applications in line with requirements and specifications
- Testing and debugging applications
- Liaising with QA staff over risk and regression impact
- Ensuring responsibilities planned in conjunction with other team members
Requirements:
- Technically oriented, proactive, and enthusiastic
- Extreme attention to detail
- Bachelor’s in EE, CS, Math, Physics or similar
- English written/verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of core Java
- Knowledge of Java Swing and/or a strong desire to learn Java Swing
- Mobile software development experience is a plus
