Capco is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to provide technical leadership and develop data engineering solutions. The role involves designing data architecture, integrating third-party solutions, and optimizing data pipelines. - Providing technical leadership and guidance for data engineering and analytical solutions.
- Developing data engineering solutions using the latest technologies and best practices.
- Driving knowledge sharing on Data Engineering, DataOps & MLOps.
- Designing and evolving the overall data architecture.
- Assessing and integrating third-party solutions.
- Optimizing end-to-end data pipelines.
- Implementing advanced caching, parallel processing, and optimization techniques.
- Establishing and enforcing security protocols.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
- Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in a quantitative field.
- Operational Knowledge of Data Engineering Architectures and Medallion Architecture.
- 5-7 years of experience in banking & insurance.
- 3-4 years of experience in Apache Hive, HBase, Solr & Kafka.
- 1-2 years of implementing Apache Iceberg and migrating from Apache Hive to Iceberg.
- Experience in Data Mesh and Data Product conceptualization & development.
- Good knowledge of advanced analytics techniques.
- Python programming experience.
- Good working knowledge of visualization tools (Tableau > Python > SAS).
- Ability to write and execute complex SQL queries.
