BigID is seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join its fast-paced escalations team. The candidate will be responsible for product development through fixes and enhancements, resolving customer issues, and training other tiers. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks.

What the role involves:

  • Troubleshooting complex software modules based on input from various stakeholders.
  • Owning internal and external customer calls to provide technical insights and solutions.
  • Developing and modifying product modules to address customer issues and enhance capabilities.
  • Playing a key role in feature design activities.
  • Collaborating with QA teams to ensure proper implementation of issue fixes.
  • Actively participating in and delivering internal training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach.
  • Programming skills in Java and node.js.
  • Experience with software management and deployment systems (e.g., Jenkins, GIT, AWS, Azure).
  • Previous experience working directly with customers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP, DNS).
  • Experience with Kubernetes and other container orchestration technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in working with Linux environments.
  • Prior experience in a commercial development environment.
  • Experience working with various databases and with MongoDB.
