Glean is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to join their team in Japan. Glean's mission is to make knowledge work faster and more humane, and they believe that AI will fundamentally transform how people work. The Strategic Account Executive will source and close net new logos within Japan, focusing on large Enterprises with over 10,000 employees. This role involves navigating complex organizational structures, identifying executive sponsors, and understanding customer business objectives. Collaboration with internal partners is key to moving deals forward and ensuring customer success. The ideal candidate will consistently deliver ARR revenue and pipeline targets through a metric-based approach.

This person will develop and execute sales strategies, generate pipeline, drive sales opportunities, and deliver repeatable bookings. Creating ROI and business justification reports based on a data-driven approach, as well as running tight Proof of Concepts based on business success criteria.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and close net new logos within a given territory.
  • Navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Identify executive sponsors and champions.
  • Research and understand customer business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal partners.
  • Deliver ARR revenue and pipeline targets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies.
  • Create ROI and business justification reports.
  • Run tight POCs based off of business success criteria.

Requirements:

  • Must reside in Tokyo, Japan
  • 10+ years of closing experience in direct field sales, selling enterprise cloud software to Fortune 500 companies.
  • Ability to learn, pitch, and demonstrate a highly technical product.
  • Experience closing complex deals and selling into complex organizations.
  • Experience uncovering greenfield opportunities and building out a new territory.
  • Experience building relationships and selling face-to-face to C-level executives.
  • Knowledge of best-of-breed software and a technical understanding of integrations, APIs, infrastructure management, security, and analytics.
  • Experience selling technical SaaS and cloud-based software solutions.
  • Basic understanding of search infrastructure is a plus.
