Senior Backend Software Engineer I & II (Hybrid) at Axon

Axon is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their team in Ho Chi Minh City. The company's mission is to Protect Life by developing devices and cloud software focused on safety and justice. The engineer will play a key role in architectural decisions, ensuring high availability and performance of cloud services.

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will be responsible for:

• Leading engineering architecture design reviews
• Setting a high technical bar for the team through code and architecture design reviews
• Mentoring engineers
• Working across teams with Product, Design, and Engineering to create integrated solutions
• Improving the Engineering process, including long-term thinking, sprint planning and stand-ups
• Building services that adhere to our high bar on availability and latency
• Working with the latest open source technologies

Axon requires:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems
• Backend service experience in multiple, managed languages such as Java, Scala, Go, C#, or similar
• Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores
