Job Description

GOAT Group is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer II to join their Engineering team in Shanghai. The Engineering team works to solve problems and build software for the company. The person in this role will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge ML solutions to maximize impact across every area of the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge ML solutions
  • Identifying new opportunities to apply ML
  • Taking ownership of projects from idea to delivery
  • Maintaining and improving existing ML models and services
  • Collaborating with the ML Platform team
  • Evangelizing ML throughout the organization

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of industry experience in machine learning or data science (e-commerce and/or marketplace experience preferred)
  • A track record of shipping both offline and online machine learning solutions to production
  • Exceptional programming skills (especially Python and SQL)
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with AWS or another cloud platform
  • Experience with relevant tools and technologies (PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, etc.)
