Gusto is seeking a Head of Compensation to lead and scale its compensation programs. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate employees. The Head of Compensation will lead a small team and collaborate with various departments, including People, Finance, Accounting, and Legal.
Role involves:
- Designing and managing compensation programs.
- Leading compensation research.
- Executing compensation programs (cash, variable, equity, executive).
- Ensuring compliance with compensation laws.
- Collaborating with senior leaders on compensation matters.
- Empowering the compensation team.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of compensation experience, with 2+ years in management.
- Experience developing compensation strategies in a tech environment.
- Knowledge of market pay practices and pre-IPO equity vehicles.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to educate stakeholders on compensation concepts.
- Pragmatic and action-oriented mindset.
