Takealot.com is seeking a Site and Services Manager to join their Supply Chain team in Durban. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the company's facilities and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing building infrastructure, managing contracts, and coordinating facility projects.

Responsibilities:

• Making decisions on fault legitimacy and scrutinizing quotations.
• Managing building infrastructure backup systems (generator, UPS).
• Serving as the primary contact with the landlord and other representatives.
• Managing contracts and B2B relationships.
• Overseeing maintenance, improvements, and long-term planning.
• Keeping critical spares for the sorter, MHEs, automation equipment, etc.
• Leading and managing facility projects, ensuring space utilization and safety.
• Coordinating office and DC area improvements.
• Performing routine maintenance and repair tasks.
• Overseeing contractor work.
• Tracking facility and maintenance expense budgets.
• Ensuring compliance with laws and codes.
• Reconciling third-party invoices.
• Maintaining records and vendor documents.
• Supervising sub-contracted staff.
• Managing cleaning and hygiene suppliers.
• Catering and vending management.
• Managing utilities and communication infrastructure.
• Taking emergency calls and working odd hours.
• Supporting DC operations.
• Performing departmental administration functions.

Requirements:

• Understanding and ability to manage power systems, IT cabling, basic construction, alarm systems, etc.
