Motive is seeking a Senior SQA Engineer to join its team. Motive empowers those who run physical operations with tools to make their work safer, more productive, and more profitable. The Senior SQA Engineer will play a key role in the QA team, testing Motive's ELD (Electronic Logging Device) and non-ELD integrated software features. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and Customer Success teams, as well as software engineering and embedded systems development teams.What the role involves:
  • Creating test plans and maintaining documentation
  • Performing testing on multiple devices, platforms, and browsers
  • Planning and executing verification of features for weekly releases
  • Taking ownership of all QA artifacts
  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects
  • Taking ownership of E2E testing
Requirements:
  • Bachelors/Masters Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Software Testing
  • Good coding skills
  • Experience in both manual testing and automation
  • Good debugging skills
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies, SCRUM, and Agile Testing Life Cycles
  • Ability to take ownership of all manual testing tasks
  • Ability to understand Software Design Specifications
  • Ability to create boundary value, positive, and negative test cases
  • Basic knowledge of Rest API
  • Knowledge of issue tracking tools (JIRA will be preferable)
  • Knowledge of OOP, Data Structures, and Algorithms
  • Keen towards programming languages and code reviews
