Motive is seeking a Technical Program Manager to enhance engineering efficiency as they scale. The Technical Program Manager (TPM) team is responsible for process, organization, and communication. The ideal candidate will play a large role in shaping Motive's engineering organization and the TPM team, driving quarterly and sprint planning, execution, and delivery. This role involves overseeing the successful delivery of technical projects, ensuring they meet business requirements, timelines, and quality standards. The Technical Program Manager will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and coach team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the product team to define quarterly and bi-annual planning, roadmap, objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Work with engineering teams on creating detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and align design, product, and engineering teams to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Track project execution and provide weekly status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and blockers.
  • Lead and improve sprint rituals, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Program Management.
  • Prior technical experience or a technical degree is recommended (bachelor's degree in engineering).
  • Experience with project management software (JIRA, Confluence, Coda, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and coach without authority.
  • Ability to gain insights from data and create action plans.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong experience with agile methodologies.
  • CSM or PMP training is a bonus.
