Flo Health is seeking a Security Operations Engineer to enhance security monitoring and response capabilities. Flo Health secured a $200M investment and achieved unicorn status, is building a smarter future, with an aim to become the essential health partner to women worldwide.
The Security Operations Engineer will play a key role in shaping and strengthening our security monitoring and response capabilities, ensuring they scale effectively with our growth.
Role Involves:
- Developing and enhancing detection rules to improve coverage of critical systems and key business processes.
- Automating and optimizing security workflows, from detection to response.
- Collaborating with key system owners to ensure relevant log data is properly structured, processed, and made actionable.
- Fine-tuning security alerts to reduce noise and improve response efficiency.
- Monitoring, investigating, and responding to security threats.
- Participating in incident response activities.
- Contributing to threat intelligence gathering.
- Providing security advice and acting as the first point of contact for security-related queries during on-call duties.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cloud security with a strong focus on engineering-led security practices.
- Experience with declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform or similar) for provisioning and managing security controls.
- Strong knowledge of detection-as-code approaches.
- Experience with security automation.
- Experience designing, implementing, and fine-tuning detections across SIEM, EDR, and other security platforms.
- Understanding threat detection techniques.
- Incident response expertise.
- Knowledge of defence-in-depth security layers.
- Experience with cloud-native security solutions and modern security tooling.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
