Senior / Lead Medical Advisor - Health stream

Job Description

Flo, a leading female health app with over 75 million monthly users, is seeking a Senior/Lead Medical Advisor to join their Health stream. This role is crucial for maintaining the medical and scientific credibility of the platform. The Medical Advisor will collaborate with product development teams, data scientists, and medical experts to ensure the accuracy and safety of Flo's features.

The role involves:

• Ensuring medical accuracy and safety of the Flo app.
• Providing expert input on medical risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborating with product and data science teams to develop AI-based features.
• Supporting clinical expertise decisions and peer-reviewing medical content.
• Performing medical reviews of health-related content.
• Working with the product team to bring medical research on topics and new ideas.
• Auditing the medical accuracy of the product.
• Stewarding clinical safety by conducting risk assessments.
• Reviewing Flo’s content in close coordination with other in-house medical professionals.
• Providing ongoing support for reviewing in-app articles, health tools, and features.
• Monitoring and contributing to the clinical governance process.
• Collaborating with product managers, data scientists, and software developers on the development of predictive health features.

Requirements include:

• Medical Degree with strong experience as a clinician.
• Experience collaborating with software product development teams for consumer technology products.
• Familiarity with marketing principles and regulatory constraints in health sectors.
• Experience in health journalism or creating patient-facing educational materials.
• Involvement in the development of AI-powered features in the health space.
• Excellent command of English (C2 level or higher).
• Strong understanding of clinical safety and regulatory requirements in digital health products.
