Job Description

Alo is seeking a Merchandise Manager to lead product creation for the Accessories, Footwear, and Non-Apparel Division. This role involves line planning through commercialization, utilizing a strong understanding of the global market, consumer behavior, and digital placement.

The Merchandise Manager will collaborate closely with Design, Merchandising, Buying, Planning, and Product Development teams to create industry-leading products for both Women's and Men's lines. Alo requires the candidate to have excellent product management skills to drive projects forward while maintaining design integrity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating seasonal line plans across multiple categories
  • Communicating product knowledge and assortment details to cross-functional partners
  • Participating in season reviews and presenting the global non-apparel merchandising assortment
  • Ensuring cross-functional teams deliver products on time for launch
  • Participating in business planning and seasonal financial planning to meet financial goals
  • Managing price ladders, product lifecycle, style attributes, and margin tracking
  • Representing the merchandising team in key product creation meetings
  • Managing short, mid, and long-term projects while providing regular updates
  • Staying current with competitor offerings, the global marketplace, and consumer trends
  • Working closely with the Senior Director of Merchandising, Senior Design Director, Product Development, Logistics, and the Director of Visual Merchandising

Role Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in Accessories/Footwear/Non-apparel Merchandising
  • Proven business leader with a focus on driving product management, merchandising
  • Experience in building a line plan from concept through sell-in
  • Understanding of design-led brand, financial metrics and profitability analysis
  • Strong instinct and passion for product
  • Experience in communicating with various levels of management
  • Strong product acumen with working knowledge of non-apparel product development processes
  • Superior project planning with an ability to develop and manage multiple timelines and deadlines
  • Ability to manage urgency, multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in merchandising software and tools such as PLM, excel, adobe, PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
