Interactive Brokers is seeking a Senior Windows Platform Operations Engineer (L2) in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. The candidate will be responsible for Level 2 End User and Windows system support, with a focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting VMware VDI systems and Windows Desktops. They will also collaborate with senior team members to support VMware Windows Server Infrastructure and provide 1st and 2nd level End User Computing (EUC) support for regional employees.Role involves:
- Maintaining and troubleshooting VMware VDI systems and Windows Desktops.
- Supporting VMware Windows Server Infrastructure.
- Providing 1st and 2nd level End User Computing (EUC) support.
- Application installations and support.
- Participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for VMware & Windows problems.
- 3 to 5 years of knowledge of Windows Server 2012 – 2019 operating systems.
- 5 to 10 years of experience supporting Windows Desktop/Server Operating Systems.
- 3 to 5 years of experience implementing and maintaining Windows Desktop / VDI Image.
- 3 to 5 years of experience supporting VMware Horizon View App Volumes in a VDI environment and End User support.
- 5 to 10 years of experience working with Dell Desktop line of hardware.
- 3 to 5 years of working knowledge of HP server hardware.
- 3 to 5 years of experience with Office 365 user management.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, Subnetting, Routing and SMTP concepts.
- Strong Client service and professional client-facing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and proven strong analytical / troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a global Windows team.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a global financial organization.
